FAQ

Q: Could you tell me about your packaging?

A: Our ultraviolet containers are made from glass that provides the optimal protection against the harmful effects of light. The airtight seals we use (instead of a dropper) help to preserve freshness and minimize contamination.

There's also the added confidence that you will not spill your precious Ballast products all over the counter while replacing a dropper. A mistake I have committed more than once!

Our entire collection is lovingly made in Massachusetts by our founder, Lauren Berry.

Q: Can I recycle your packaging?

A: Yes, you can recycle the glass containers for all our products.

Q: Are your products certified organic?

A: Not yet. Our entire collection meets the guidelines of the strictest European Union cosmetic compliance regulations and E.U. based certifying standards for organic cosmetic products.

Q: Are your products cruelty-free?

A: Yes! We believe in love and compassion for animals and humans alike. Our ingredients are only tested on humans eager to experience them first hand.

Q: What is the cute little symbol that looks like a jar with a number in it on your label?

A: This is called a PAO symbol. The number in the jar symbol denotes the shelf life of your product once it has been opened. Remember to store your products out of sunlight and heat to ensure freshness.

Q: What are your return and exchange policy?

A: Due to the small batch and natural qualities of our products, we don’t accept returns or exchanges. If you’re unhappy with your purchase, please contact us at support@ballastskin.com and we will do our best to help you get the most out of it. Any damages or discrepancies must be addressed within 7 days of receiving your order. We stand behind our products and will do everything we can to ensure you have a positive experience.

Q: Which products are safe for pregnancy?

A: First and foremost, speak with your physician. Our products are safe for pre-conception, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and beyond. These are the perfect treats to keep in your skincare arsenal as you navigate the fluctuations and skin concerns that go right along with this powerful time.

Our products and the information on these pages are not intended to treat, cure, prevent, or diagnose any medical condition and are not a substitute for the medical advice of a physician.
